Blood orange hibiscus spritzers.

I called these spritzers just because I thought the name was fun and fitting for a refreshing, fizzy summer drink, but they don’t contain any wine — if you’re looking for a traditional spritzer, feel free to replace some or all of the sparkling water with wine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 11.15 oz (330 ml can) Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa
  • 34 oz hibiscus concentrate
  • 12 tbsp rose petal preserves
  • 16.9 oz (500 ml bottle) Sanpellegrino Sparkling Mineral Water (seltzer or soda water will work, too)
  • ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine the first three ingredients in a large pitcher and stir gently until combined. Add the sparkling water until the spritzer reaches your desired strength — I preferred the full bottle for a less sweet spritzer. If the spritzers are too tart, add a bit of honey or simple syrup. Stir again until well-mixed, then pour over ice and enjoy cold!
