Aw, thank you, sweet friend! I didn’t know how this change to light-and-bright would pan out, so your words are much appreciated (as always!) <3

Hahaha oh my gosh, as pancake royalty you must try it! Let me know what you think if you do, I bet we’d have a lot to trade notes on :) Thanks a bunch, Erika <3

Wait question. I was googling Clinton St. last night and came across several different versions of their pancakes…which is the real one?! For example, I saw Izy’s post on Buzzfeed used baking soda + buttermilk where yours uses whole milk and no baking soda. Did you follow your recipe from the book exactly?

Yep! I only tweaked the ingredient proportions. The full-scale recipe from the cookbook can be found here on Martha Stewart and here (and actually even here, on Google Books preview!). I know what Buzzfeed post you’re talking about and I’m not sure where that recipe is from (although Izy’s photos are gorgeous!) Hope that helps!

Thank you so much, Erika!! I might have to have a pancake intervention sooner rather than later…

OH how exciting to be featured. Lovely design and the recipe looks perfect. I’m a pancake fanatic. I just did my first recipe for them last week (a delicious gf one). Where do you get your tea towels? I’ve been searching high and low for red and blue ones like these!

Ooh wow, I’ll have to check those out! I’m always amazed by GF recipes :) and I got the tea towels from IKEA — you can’t beat the price! And they get worn in just the right way after a few washes.

Yay, congrats on the article, Cynthia! The photos are beautiful – that lighting is so damned dreamy! I’m always on the lookout for THE perfect pancake recipe. I’m heading over now to check this out!

It’s a pretty elusive thing, isn’t it? If you try this, I’d love to hear your thoughts! The whipped egg white definitely makes a difference. Thanks so much, Nance :)

ll at Molly’s comment. I’ve deemed Chris’s hands too hairy for hand modeling, which is unfortunate because hand models are a convenient thing to have around. :)

And congratulations on your article! Your photos are so beautifully serene, and I’m glad to know I can skip the 2.5+ hr. wait and make their famous pancakes at home!

HAHA! I’m sure after the seventeenth time that I ask B2 to hold a fork and knife for me that he’s going to wish I felt the same way about his. And thank you, Linda! It was interesting switching up the color palette a bit, so I’m glad to know it worked out okay.

This is awesome! I can’t wait to try these celebrated pancakes that I’ve never had the patience to wait in line for on any of my NY trips. Huge congrats on the magazine article! So very deserved :)

It’s hard to devote such giant chunks of time to waiting in line, isn’t it? Thank you so much for your very sweet words, Nora :)

Ah yes! Here are those delicious looking pancakes! I was just over at Verily magazine to read the article…amazing! Perfect recipe, and I really gotta try it. I’m going to make my bf make these for me! hehe! Also, so funny you! You? Monster hands? Pleeeease. lol! But I gotta say, your bf did a fantastic job! His shirt color coordinates with the layout perfectly! I love the burlap runner…and I’m particularly drooling over the blueberry compote too! xo

Hahaha he was sooo pleased with himself over your comment ;) he actually picked that shirt out himself, both in the store and that day for the photos! I was so amazed, because, you’re right — it goes perfectly with the rest of the color scheme. I don’t think I could have picked it better myself. Well played, Mr. TRB. Well played. ;) Thank you, lovie <3

Congrats, Cynthia! This is a lovely post, the shots capture a lazy weekend breakfast so well (and the spring light is amazing!), the recipe makes my mouth water, and your man really has handsome hands. He should really do more hand modeling ;) Would absolutely love to have these pancakes for a Sunday breakfast!

    Have a great weekend,
    Sini

Oh my goodness! Love this! These shots are so gorgeous – they look like a perfect weekend pancake breakfast. I haven’t made pancakes in a while; I’ve been cheating on them with waffles …but I will have to change that soon and try these!

say hello!
